Syrians who had engaged their autocrats in a bid for freedom since the Arab Spring, were finally liberated. But are they? The President is the "former: head of an Al Qaeda (AQ) affiliated group, Hayat Tahrir al Sham (HTS) but now claims he no longer believes in jihad. What should we make of this?
